One of the things I love the most about visiting Sokaco Group shop is the surprising element of new products that I’ve never seen before. Recently I was there choosing ceramic tiles for a bathroom renovation and I came across the new Marazzi Collection, Grande. It is a collection of huge ceramic tiles in three sizes 120x120cm, 120x240cm and 160x320cm, available in two thicknesses and in six finishes: Concrete, Marble, Carpet, Metal, Stone and Solid Color.

1. Placing these tiles on the floor will make your interior or exterior space look unified because they enable the creation of seamless or discontinuous visual effects! This is very suitable for a really big sized open space. It will look amazing! In small spaces it will make the room look bigger, especially if a light color is used with little or no patterns on it.

2. Choosing to place these size tiles on the walls in the interior and/ or the exterior is not an ordinary thing to do. Place them floor to ceiling and you will have a material needless of maintenance which looks great at all times so it is worth the consideration.

3. With these tiles we can create original compositions of tailor-made options for outdoor and indoor furniture! They can be use as table tops, bench seats, kitchen counter tops, bathroom cabinet tops, sinks and washing basins…The range is huge and the imagination limitless! Here are two beautiful examples of how they can be used as washing basins, giving your bathroom a touch of luxury.

4. In a shop designed in contemporary or minimal style, concrete looking floor and walls are almost a must. In such cases we aim for a unified look with as little as possible connections. Normally we would go for a painting effect for the walls and an epoxy floor. With these tiles, size 160x320cm, there is no need to go through the time consuming and rather messy solutions mentioned before! The tiles look amazing both on the floor and the walls creating the right, discreet background for the products to shine. 5. Choosing the same ceramic tile for the kitchen floor and the kitchen counters (top and sides) will enhance the shape of the kitchen! Look also how beautiful and discreet the bench looks underneath the windows. If it weren’t for the drawers in a different color, it would look as if it is part of the floor! 6. Anything you place in front of a unified floor and wall is highlighted and its shape comes out beautifully! Look at the staircase on this photograph; the color combination of the ceramic tile on the wall and floor, reflects the wood color of the staircase and enhances its shape. The color and shape of the armchair contrasts the wall and floor! (Floor and Wall: Marazzi Grande Carpet Smoke – Project by Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel).

7. Personally I am not a huge fun of marble being used in huge quantities! My opinion was shaken when I saw these pictures! I believe I like it because the grains of the marble like ceramic tile are not very busy and because of the huge size used 120x240cm they look natural as if they were slabs of natural stone. 8. The contrast between the ceramic tiles used on the floor and wall and the ones used for the washing basin and counter is really beautiful. The busy grains of the Grande Marble Look Capraia Bookmatch A&B Lux are a beautiful background for the pure white sanitary ware!

9. The table top of this table is a ceramic tile of the Marazzi Grand Series. Never before could we design furniture and use tiles on it, unless we were aiming for traditional or country style furniture! These new tiles offer us, designers the possibility to design contemporary and minimal style furniture as well!
